The Hare is an encounter with an isolated rural girl living on the edge of her community. Bullied by her peers, unable to fit in, she is torn between the wildness she understands and the civilisation that rejects her - until she discovers that the boundaries between these worlds are not as firm as she imagined. A work-in-progress, the piece takes the audience on a journey across familiar landscapes through the eye of an unusual hero. It has been supported by Cairde Festival, The Abbey Theatre, the Arts Council and Once Off Productions.
Please note that the play contains adult themes and may not be suitable for younger audiences.
