A new work for narrator, three musicians and painter.
In A Fool’s Errand, Dermot Healy’s masterful book-length poem, the sense that keens afterwards, and during, is the sense of hearing. Just thinking of the poem, not the words, just the sense of it, fills my inner ears with the geese’s uproar, with this rude, sonic turmoil in the sky - Nick Roth
This work features the recordings of 49 voices; family, friends and colleagues of Dermot Healy to whom we are very grateful for their warm enthusiasm and participation. Please see the full list of readers under the event listing on our festival website.
A sincere thank you to Helen Gillard, Dallan Healy and Inor Healy for their support, encouragement and participation.
We thank The Gallery Press, publisher of A Fool’s Errand, for their collaboration on this event.
