Join us to celebrate Sligo communities, our new civic space and the heritage of our ancestral Queen of Connacht, Queen Maeve. Cairde has brought together artists Dee Armstrong, Ben Lucent, Hannah Dobson and Niamh O’Brien to work with youth groups from Cranmore Community Co-op, County Sligo Youth Theatre and other youth groups who will be joined by Community Samba Drummers and Aremoja Drummers and Dancers to create a celebratory procession along our river into Queen Maeve Square, culminating in a fire and aerial performance by newly formed spectacle company, VolkiDána.

The procession will start outside Sligo City Hall at 10pm

With Funding from Creative Ireland, Sligo.

Join us afterwards for a closing party with DJ Mick T Woc in Swagman Bar.
