Poor Creature are Cormac MacDiarmada (Lankum) and Ruth Clinton (Landless). They perform new interpretations of old songs, accompanied by viola, guitar, synth and theremin. Drawing inspiration from Irish and American traditional music their music has dark and dreamy undertones and features themes of love, loss and the supernatural.
Aoife Hammond is a singer and multi-instrumentalist based in County Leitrim. For over a decade, Aoife has played in numerous noise and punk bands currently Extravision and Surge. Aoife has composed original electronic and acoustic scores using synthesizers, bouzouki, guitars, mandolin and vocals.This performance will be the first time these compositions will be heard live, with special accompaniment by Magnus Nymo.
Magnus Nymo is a multi-instrumentalist who grew up in the Norwegian countryside playing drums and singing in numerous constellations within the worlds of punk, noise and metal. Currently based in Dublin, playing Irish and Norwegian traditional music.
